The History Makers was found by Julieanna Richardson (HLS '80). Ms. Richardson continues to serve as The History Makers Executive Director, the single largest archival project of its kind in the world. The HistoryMakers seeks to educate the world about the contributions to American life, society and culture by African Americans; preserve the history of those contributions through personal stories told in oral histories; and make it more readily accessible by scholars, students and future generations to come.
