HLS Considers Change to Recruiting Schedule

This week HLS's Associate Dean for Career Services Mark Weber announced that he will be advocating that Harvard move to an early on-campus interview program starting in August of 2009. Weber's memo sent to students on December 2, 2008 states,

While our later program provided several benefits,some students participating in OCI this fall were adversely impacted by our start date because of the economic meltdown that occurred in September ... Of course firms still wanted to hire students from Harvard- but felt they could not hire as many
because of the adverse economic conditions.
